Tuned specifically to your Volvo C30, the ELEVATE Rear Anti-Sway Bar will keep your vehicle flat in the corners and increase vehicle control. Tire contact patch is maximized when you are at the limits. Stock factory rear sway bars range from 19mm to 21.5mm in diameter depending on vehicle options. We have created a strong, 25.4mm (1") diameter bar to greatly increase the cornering ability of your Volvo. Our testing has shown that a replacement front anti-sway bar is not necessary to achieve the driving characteristics desired, so we focused our efforts on optimizing the design of our Rear Anti-Sway Bar. You will experience quicker turn in and more neutral handling with your vehicle having the ability to rotate better under heavy cornering. Installation is very easy and will take the novice about one half hour to remove the stock bar and replace it with the upgraded ELEVATE bar. The ELEVATE Rear Anti-Sway Bar is manufactured of solid chrome moly with thick, welded end links and finished with a durable powder coated finish for many years of use. Your factory end links are retained, and high quality greaseable polyurethane bushings with ELEVATE specific metal brackets and grease are included.
Depending on the year and options of your Volvo C30, there are three styles of rear sway bars installed by the factory. You will need to determine which is correct for your vehicle before ordering. When viewing your factory rear sway bar from under the rear of your vehicle, locate the sway bar end link. Your end link will attach to the sway bar in one of two ways:
Horizontal Tab: The mounting tab on the sway bar is horizontal / parallel to the ground. The end link is straight and passes straight down through the sway bar. The retaining nut is facing the ground.
Vertical Tab: The mounting tab on the sway bar is vertical / perpendicular to the ground. The end link is a 90 degree right angle which passes through the bar. The left and right side retaining nuts are facing each other. If your C30 has Vertical Tabs, there are two variants based on the spacing between the sway bar bushings which attach the sway bar to the rear subframe. Measure the space between the insides of the sway bar bushings to determine if the spacing is 17.5" (44.4cm) or 19" (48.2cm). When ordering, be sure to select the bar with the correct spacing for your application.

Currently renewing a 2011 C30 T5 RD with 130k on the clock – I bought it new but love this unique car so much I want to keep it!
Over the last month or so I have serviced it completely with respect to the engine, front mounts (I already have the Elevate torque mount), fluids, and any needed or perceived replacements (e.g. breather box, Elevate TCV …) to make it ripe for improvement! I replaced the very knackered suspension with a good kit, all links with Meyle, and this all worked great. (I had a full Volvo inspection done to see how the car was and how the control arms and axles were after this, and they were good).
Then I added the sway bar. What a difference this made in steering and cornering! I am impressed with the build quality and the fact you can grease the bushings without removing it. I went ahead and ordered the removable rear chassis brace and am very much looking forward to the further improvement, and then an Elevate tune.
The downside is that I wish I had done this much earlier!

love the Elevate sway bars, had one on my last C30 and just put one on the latest C30 R design i just bought. works excellent, really felt the difference right away. my wife’s S40 R design also has one and it was a great improvement. get one ,you wont be disappointed.

The install is simple (how easy it is depends on your tools and experience) and the performance benefits are enormous.
Volvo wants you to understeer, Elevate wants you to hit that apex. It’s as simple as that. You will be blown away by the mid corner lift-off rotation your C30 chassis is capable of with this modification, especially when coupled with the Elevate rear chassis brace.

Great fit and finish, happy with the product. For the latest generation of C30 R-Designs, it may not be super crucial as the OEM bar is already pretty sturdy, but it was an upgrade nonetheless.
My only suggestion would be to replace the sway bar links at the same time (part no. 31329966). Not sure if they were going out already or if I did something to mess them up during install, but just a couple weeks after installing the sway bar the original sway bar links started to fail, making rather loud and annoying clunking noises. They’re like $20 each and are easy to replace while you’re doing the sway bar.
This anti sway bar was installed at the same time as the removable rear chassis brace. The quality of the parts as well as the urethane bushings and brackets with lube fittings make for a great addition to your suspension. My grandson who is an amateur racer said he has had urethane bushings on his race car dry out and seize up nullifying the effectiveness of the sway bar. The Elevate anti sway bar with the lube fittings eliminates this potential problem.. Again well thought out engineering.

The only difficult part about the install is getting these suspension bolts loose. Other than that, its free-sailing. This is probably the best suspension modification along with springs or coilovers one can do to a Front-wheel drive car. It makes it so the car tends to be neutral rather than under-steer under hard cornering. I noticed a big difference after the first canyon drive. The Elevate sway bar is a bit thicker than the competition, so I would guess that it is more effective, but not to the point of being too much.
